Painted Easter Eggs March 2017
I have been going a little nuts with painting eggs lately. It's so fun! I have been using everything from ink and acrylics to markers, liquid beads, masking fluid and embossing powder LOL. It's like a science project here as I experiment with different ideas. So far I have been able to salvage all of the mistakes so that is great. :) I have gold leaf and pysanky supplies coming so the experimentation will continue. Whee!

Since I have so many, I am running a sale until April 9th. All eggs, tutorials and jewelry is half price!

Here is a link to my shop www.etsy.com/shop/MandarinMoon

Hand Painted Eggs
I had so much fun painting these eggs! I created a tutorial on how I made them which is available here www.etsy.com/listing/514349325… and I wound up with a ton of painted eggs!

What tablet do you recommend?

Journal Entry: Thu Mar 2, 2017, 7:28 PM

I have been thinking of getting back to my artistic roots which is drawing. I have this idea of creating some adult coloring books and was initially going to begin drawing them by hand the old fashioned way. You know...pen on paper. :) Then it occurred to me that, since my idea will be creating patterns with repetitions of the same item or group of items, that it may be a better idea to create them on a tablet. Then I can enlarge, reduce, duplicate or change the direction of say, a flower that I have drawn. No tracing or erasing and worrying about smudges or spilling my coffee on the paper.
Trouble is...I am completely clueless regarding tablets. I am reaching out to you all, my artistic friends, to see what you may recommend. I will be creating black and white line art if that makes any difference.
Any recommendations?
Any guidance will be greatly appreciated!

Playing Around with Different Techniques
I'm playing around with some ideas using three different techniques in polymer clay. The Skinner Blend, The Sutton Slice and Mokume Gane. I need better contrasting colors to show off the mokume gane better but I just grabbed what I had on hand. Not sure what I am going to do with the tiny pieces yet.

I have two shops on Etsy if you are interested. My handmade one of a kinds are here www.etsy.com/shop/MandarinMoon and my supply/destash shop is here www.etsy.com/shop/MuddyPuddleW…
