Beautiful Decay Journal Cover

I wish I could get a good photo of this one...it is so awesome!

I found a submission by luthien27 yesterday on how to quickly rust objects I can't wait to try it!
I was being silly and quipped 'beautiful glorious rust!' and I got to thinking about that. Decay, degeneration and rust can be absolutely beautiful....in fact I think I prefer aged things to brand new shiny things. They've had time to develop their own personality

I have traded for some wonderfully old rusted, dented and broken one of a kind treasures with fellow deviant Steph Martin and I have some of the most unusual polished pieces of jasper and I decided to combine a bit of these items together in a sort of tribute to decay. (I'm on a decrepit kick right now.....could it be my upcoming birthday?? LOL)

It is polymer clay in gold, ecru and brown with sea sediment jasper, ghost eye jasper, old watch parts, old key and key hole, various old coins, rusty buckle (my fave!), glass cat bead, old earrings, glass gems and cabochons and twisted bit of wire.

The book measures 11" x 8" and has 80 sheets (160 pages) of paper lined on both sides.
