Blue Green Dragon Eggs by MandarinMoon Blue Green Dragon Eggs by MandarinMoon
Haven't made any of these in a while. :D They are polymer clay over duck eggs. Included are frosted gems and gold chain. (and some misc bits)
They are fun to make so expect more soon in a variety of colors!

They look so real. I mean, something you'd definitely expect a dragon to guard just as preciously as their own hoard.

That's beautiful! I love the pattern and the frosted gems on them.
But aren't those very fragil? I think I would've broken them while trying to coat them... *laugh*

Thank you very much! The shells themselves were relatively thick and strong to begin with and once they are covered in PC and cured...well, they are very strong and durable now. It would take some considerable effort to break them at this point. :D
Oh, during the process, I do have to use care not to press too hard or drop them but they are not as fragile as you might imagine.

I buy them from a farm that does it for me. There is only one small perfect hole at one end. I don't know how she does it!

Gorgeous! I've been wanting to do something with an emu egg, but they're too expensive to play around with >.>
