Found Object Owl Journal Cover by MandarinMoon Found Object Owl Journal Cover by MandarinMoon
It is finished! It is a little darker than I wanted. The only brown clay I had was burnt umber so I made do. I was thinking about adding touches of acrylic to brighten it up. What do you think?
I love the idea ThisNThatStudio gave me about adding some red berries. I have some leftover clay cane and it made perfect berries. :D

Oh my... this is so incredibly beautiful and to be honest this is the reason i just now made a deviant art account (i found this through a "handmade" search) and I collect owls because my mom loved them and always collected them and she recently passed away. this is is most gorgeous journal I have ever seen. You are VERY talented.

Thank you very much! I had fun making this. I have so many found object odds and ends that I have been thinking about making other animals too. :D

Wow, that's quite ornate! Maybe just lightening the background behind the details, but it's lovely as is :)
