Gold Leaf Polymer Clay Vase by MandarinMoon Gold Leaf Polymer Clay Vase by MandarinMoon
Just tried a new technique of applying gold leaf to polymer clay. This is a Mikasa ceramic vase that I covered with black polymer clay with gold leaf rolled onto the surface.
It gave it a nice crackly effect!

I'm more inclined to think that's verigated leaf? I was under the impression that gold was fairly inert and didn't change colours like that. I think verigated leaf is made from copper but it may be marketed under the name verigated gold leaf? Of course though! Like everyone else said, great work! The texture looks like tree-bark and with the exotic colours it appears magical. :P

I think you are spot on there. I should probably change the title but you get so few characters to work with. :D Thanks for the kind words too! :)

Wow - that's cool! Now I wonder if there is copper leaf, silver leaf etc and how it would come out looking.
