wow this looks like it's alive and about to grow! incredible!
how do you obtain the black between the creases in your clay? i have been using acrylic paint and washing away excess with a wet cloth but it looks somewhat sloppy.

Thank you! Yes, adding the dark acrylic 'stain' is tricky. You have to thin the paint but not so thin as to be watery. You should also have two sheets of paper towel handy (or cloth). Neither should be wet but merely damp. The first takes off the bulk of the paint and the second, slightly less damp sheet cleans the very top surfaces so that it does not look 'dirty'. It is also a good idea to paint a small area, wipe away the excess and then move on to the next area. I didn't wipe the top surfaces off quickly enough and that is why this vase looks slightly dirty! :D

Oooh. Excellent idea. I've been collecting little glass bottles for a bookcase of mine and hadn't even thought of doing this yet (possibly because I've already got over 10 boxes waiting to be covered! :S) ... Too much to clay and not enough time :(

Oh my god, this is beautiful! I wanna make something like this to, with various bottle-shapes. And then I would put wild flowers in all of them! *_*
