Shipwrecked Switch Plate by MandarinMoon Shipwrecked Switch Plate by MandarinMoon
I played with all kinds of things to create an interesting texture on this switch plate. Everything from crumbled paper treated with Modge Podge to gravel, tooth picks and glass gems. Then I painted it with metal paint and added an actual patina by treating it with a liquid solution. To top it off, I added more brass and silver paint. I had painted over the glass gems and didn't like it so I cut away the paint from their surface and left it all jagged and rough. It was fun to make. What do you think....is it worth hanging on the wall?
