I've taken a bound, cloth covered book and embellished it with polymer clay and various found objects to make a whimsical scene that I call "Me and My Balloon" LOL. I had a lot of fun making this piece! It includes a polished stone, glass gems, an old bit of wire hanger, parts from an ornate bracelet, metal decorative pieces and part of a watch face.
Actually the whole idea centered around that rusty bit of wire coat hanger that I found
I hand painted the book with acrylic paints and attached the polymer clay plaque securely to the top cover. It measures 5.75" x 8.75" and has 100 pages lined on one side and unlined on the other for drawing and writing.
