Polymer clay flask back view

I made this elegant bottle by covering a glass flask with polymer clay in black and various shades of brown. Brass chain and creamy glass gems were added. I gave the clay a variety of textures and added hundreds of little balls of clay for the pebbly look you see. (which is my signature style It really looks like a leather covered bottle! Some say it is a secret potion bottle, others say that it looks as though a genie will appear if you rub it. I dunno...give it a try!

Once the clay was cured, it was "anitqued" with an acrylic wash and touches of metallic gold were added here and there.

The clay covers the lip of the bottle so I wouldn't recommend actually drinking from it. It is for decorative purposes only! It is able to hold water and could be used as a vase however.

It measures 7.25" tall by 3.5" wide.
